Fall Fitness

The fall and winter holidays are rapidly approaching. And for many of us that means less physical exercise and more comfort food – too much more! LOL

Now is an excellent time to begin a fall workout routine to get ahead of the fitness curve. BlackBerry has a great basic fitness app, iFitness, to help to motivate and keep you on track. It’s like having a personal trainer right on your mobile phone!  (BTW, the iFitness app is also available for iPhone users.)

iFitness provides:

  • Over 230 exercises using free weights and equipment
  • Logs which allow you to track your progress
  • 10 exercise routines from strength building to weight loss

“Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and the Spirit of God dwelleth in you.” 1 Corinthians 3:16 One of the best ways we can honor that temple is to take proper care of it!

TTYL, got to get back to my exercises!

Remember the Name, William Kamkwamba

William Kamkwamba’s amazing story is an inspiration to all who have dreams that, many say, are unattainable.  For some reason the word quixotic comes to mind. We’re sometimes ridiculed, and often told that we’re just “tilting at windmills” like Don Quixote in Cervantes’ classic novel.

Regardless of what others may say, don’t give up on your dreams! Check out William’s  incredible story below:

The Apostle Paul affirms, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” Philippians 4:13. And I know that’s right!

Know who you are and whose you are. You were born for greatness. There is no limit to what you can do through Christ Jesus!

God Bless

My, How Time Flies – Social Media and Time Management

The other day, I got so involved on Twitter that before I knew it hours had literally flown by. It’s so easy to get caught up in the agendas, dramas, and comedies of so many fascinating people every time we log on. TMI, too much information, confronts us all in today’s increasingly busy, digital world. It’s impossible to read everyone’s posts!

I’ve resolved to be a good steward of my time engaged in social media. Time is a precious gift we have all been given. We should manage it wisely. Psalm 24:1 reminds me of my stewardship responsibility as it relates to the area of time management.

How can we  manage our social media time more effectively?  Network, blog, and tweet with a purpose. Interact with your network(s) strategically, not haphazardly. Some people use social media to market products or services. Others to entertain. Some to find love. And still others  out of sheer boredom, or just for fun. What is your purpose for engaging social media? If you don’t have one, I would highly recommend that you define one, asap. Otherwise, you can find yourself wasting valuable time that you can never get back.

Establish a goal for your engagement in social media. Stay focused like a laser beam on that goal. Find your purpose. Use social media to help to unlock your unlimited potential, not to squander it.

“The earth is the Lord’s and everything in it, the world, and all who live in it.” Psalm 24:1

You were born for greatness. There’s no limit to what you can do through Christ Jesus.

God Bless,

Kenneth Lillard
